HOW RELEVANT ARE YOU

A Man's Action is a result of his inner thoughts - anonymous.

Have you noticed when and why your friends always want your company?
I once overheard a young man accuse his friend of calling on him only when the friend was going out for a drink, the friend replied;because drinking is all you are good for.

Are you also good for only binge drinking? Do people call on you when they want to gossip or do they call on you when they need people with ideas and initiatives.

The answer to the above questions would tell you what people think about you. Its already january 30th and the 1st month of the year is already gone. How relevant have you been at home, work, school, mosque, church and community? How relevant have you been to your Country and the World at large?

The World only rewards those who contribute into it and People would only associate with you based on your capabilities. Always invest in yourself and make ways to better the society around you.

Become a relevant factor in where ever you may find yourself. Become a relevant Nigerian.

Hi my Naija guy/girl

I trust you must have registered to vote and if you have not,it isn't too late.

It could be really frustrating knowing no matter what you do,some politician from no where would still manipulate the election results.

The only way we can remedy this is to protect our votes by participating in all levels of government. June 12 election was regarded as free and fair because Nigerians came out in their millions to vote.

Let us achieve a similar feat in 2011. We can have a nigeria where things work, let us put hands together, combine strengths, ideas and work in unity.

I HAVE REGISTERED, HAVE YOU?

Despite the turn out of many Nigerians to register with INEC,It is shocking that several people are yet to register and others have no intention of doing so. A young lady I interviewed confessed to registering due to parental pressure and that she doesn't intend to eventually vote.

My fellow Nigerians,we are not doing anyone a favour by participating or voting,we are helping ourselves,we are making sure that we have the right leaders to help move our country forward.

We are ensuring a better future for our Nation, ourselves and our children.

Please Register, participate and Vote. I have registered have you?

Not every Nigerian has food on his/her table in Nigeria, help build a hunger free Nigeria, help build a Nigeria with great economic stability, help fight for the dividends of democracy. Register, Participate and Vote.
Robert Nav, a 14 year old boy from his room in Spanish Bay, Utah created the most downloaded game in the world for iPhone users. The game Bubble Ball which was released about 2 weeks ago has been downloaded by over 2 million people all over the world. Are you as astonished as i am, are you also wondering the wealth of potential that lies withing such a young person?

Nigeria is also blessed with gifted and talented young men and women however these people have chosen to use their talents for evil rather than good, an instance is the Yahoo internet scam which had Nigerian youths milking millions of dollars from people all over the world. Within us lie great wealth of potential but we have refused to develop into our full blown capabilities, youths cannot wholly be blamed though, due to lack of good leadership and mentorship society has groomed youths who believe in the fast way of life, who have no regard for good moral ethics and hard work, no thanks to flamboyant politicians who steal government funds and flaunt it in our faces,no thanks to the Tafa Baloguns' and James Iboris' of this Country, what happened to the moral of the African adage that says "a good name,is better than silver or gold".

In other to save our Country from peril,we must build a strong  generation that would believe in proactive and positive initiatives. We must develop ourselves into professionals that can compete anywhere in the world. Nigerian youths must invest heavily in personal development. It is our duty to bring forth this Nation from its slumbering state into the African Economic giant that it once was. This responsibility lies with you and i, we must become the change we want to see in our country.

The Nigerian government imports most of the products we consume into this country, from tooth picks to cars, apples and even turkey. All these things we can create for ourselves in this Nation. All hands just have to be on deck. The White race have built airplanes, submarines, nuclear weapons, etc. We must prove tha t the African continent is not full of dull black monkeys like they presume us to be but also the land where great inventors and success stories are born.

Let us all join hands and create a better Nigeria, we must create solutions to problems around us and not add to the problem.

MAKE MIRACLES

I always marvel at the aerodynamIcs of a plane,I am awed by the mechanism that propels it to fly 28,000ft above sea level. I am also always fascinated by the sheer comfort that comes from the cooling system, either as a cold glass of water or from an A/C in our cars or apartments. These inventions that seem to be little miracles were however created by mere men. The WrIght Brothers built the first aeroplane while Dr. John Gorrie made the first mechanical cooling system.

All man is born with potential to accomplish great things but we never explore the creative sides to us. In Nigeria, society has succeeded in crippling our mind set,we are too busy trying to survive that we fail to dream and explore. It is common knowledge that we run from what we don't understand and are frightened by things we can't explain but if we want a better Nigeria,we must must rise above these limitations.

As Nigerians,we should focus on our individual creativity, we should provide answers to questions around us and not compound the problems we are already suffering from.

If we want a better Nigeria,it begins with you.

THE NEED FOR JOINT VIGILANCE

Driving along the streets of Abuja,I cannot help but notice the high level of security alertness on the part of the police and other security agents. With the Increase of bomb blasts and terrorist activities, the government is trying its best to protect the lives and properties of citizens.

However, in the fight against terrorism, government and security agencies need the help of citizens in other to successfully combat and put an end to terrorist activities, only through joint vigilance can this be achieved. In countries like the United States of America, this concept is practised and it has significantly helped to ensure adequate security. Not only do American citizens report suspicious movements and activities in their neighbourhood to the police but they also keep vigilance over their neighbours.

Nigeria belongs to we the people and not the government,it is our joint responsibility to protect our Nation. Let us all play our roles in making Nigeria safer,we must all keep vigilant and report all criminal activities to the police.

God bless Nigeria.
